Send Your Tool's Dust Onto a Conveyor
Buy the Building Tool for $50, select the $100 Packager under Logistics, and connect its output to a Conveyor. Use E at the Packager to transfer your tool's Dust into capsules that travel along the belt toward the Depot or a processing machine.
Keep Money for the Outgoing Belt
The Building Tool and a Packager cost $150 together, before Conveyor construction. Keep enough money available to connect the machine to its destination, because loading Dust into the Packager does not complete the delivery route. Start with a short installation where you can easily inspect the output and the station intake before committing to a distant drop-off point.
Unlock and Place the Packager
- Purchase the Building Tool for $50 to gain access to construction and the Logistics category.
- Equip the Building Tool so its construction options are available for your setup.
- Select Packager in Logistics to prepare the $100 structure for placement.

- Place the Packager with its rear belt output facing your intended delivery route, leaving yourself a convenient approach for unloading.
Choose the position around the journey you make whenever your cleaning tool fills. A Packager becomes useful when repeated trips and manual capsule handling interrupt your cleaning, so put convenience ahead of an elaborate layout. Test the small setup before building a long Conveyor network around it.
Connect the Output and Transfer Tool Dust
- Connect a Conveyor to the Packager's rear output so its packaged Dust has a route away from the machine.
- Extend the Conveyor to the Depot intake for a simple delivery test, keeping every connected section traveling toward the station.

- Use E at the Packager to transfer the collected Dust and feed its capsule output.
- Follow a released capsule along the entire Conveyor route to check that it reaches the intended receiving connection.
- Check your money as the Dust enters the Depot intake, which pays for material arriving by belt.
For the initial test, keep the destination easy to recognize and the route easy to follow. Seeing capsules leave the Packager proves that material has entered the transport system; check their arrival at the Depot as well. Once that delivery works, you can route the Packager's output into a processing-machine input when you are ready to add production.
Packing vs Processing
| Option | What It Does |
|---|---|
| Packager | Receives your Dust through E and sends it out as capsules through its Conveyor output. Its job is to put collected material into your transport route. |
| Manual packing with Q | Creates portable Dust capsules without using the Packager. Packing a capsule does not complete its delivery to the Depot. |
| Pressure Chamber | Processes Moon Dust into Moon Sand. Connect the Packager's outgoing belt to its input when you want to add this conversion to the route. |
| Stone Press | Uses raw Dust and Moon Sand to produce Moonstone. It needs the required material feeds; a Packager alone does not perform that conversion. |
If you already carry a capsule, you can place it onto a belt where you aim. Use that option to test the delivery route without transferring another tool load into the Packager. Follow the capsule to its destination before adding branches or more machinery.
Find Where the Capsules Stop
Start troubleshooting at the point where the material stops moving. Follow the route from the Packager toward its destination and inspect the connection where progress ends. Fix that section before spending money on another collection device.
- Dust does not transfer: check that your cleaning tool still contains collected Dust before using the Packager interaction. Make the next transfer a deliberate test so you can watch for capsules leaving the machine.
- Nothing leaves the Packager: inspect the outgoing port and its Conveyor connection. Start at the rear output before rebuilding sections farther along the route.
- Capsules stop after a belt connection: check the direction of travel through that section. A route that looks continuous can still contain a section sending material the wrong way.
- Capsules accumulate at the belt's end: complete the connection to the destination. Material can wait at an unfinished Conveyor without dropping off or selling.
- The Pressure Chamber refuses incoming Dust: check that the belt reaches the inlet on the side without the handle. If Dust enters but no Sand appears, inspect power and the outgoing route.
- A queue keeps growing before a working Pressure Chamber: check its processing capacity after confirming power and connections. Adding another Packager will not resolve a bottleneck at the processing stage.
- Loading succeeds but money does not increase: inspect the final Depot connection. Dust arriving through the intake by belt is paid as it comes in, so check actual arrival.
When you expand the route, Splitters and Mergers can snap directly together, port to port. Check the outgoing direction after placing a junction, especially after rotating it. Keep the short delivery test working before extending the network toward another cleaning area.
